Normandie Equine Vallée is building a panoramic pool to allow researchers from l’EnvA-CIRALE to increase
Normandie Équine Vallée is project-based joint association with a constant investment programme aimed at maintaining its status as an international scientific leader. The teams hosted at our Saint-Contest and Goustranville sites are the pride of Normandy research and embody the excellence of Normandy’s equine sector. It is therefore necessary to provide them with the tools they need, allowing us to state that Normandy and Calvados have a concentration of resources and skills that is unrivalled anywhere in the world!
Piloted by the Normandy Equin Valley joint association, this largescale development project will notably host the Equine Veterinary Teaching Hospital Complex (ChuvÉquin) of the Alfort National Veterinary School (EnvA). Normandy Regional Council will provide 30 million Euros and Calvados Departmental Council will provide 1.5 million Euros to finance this project. The Eperon fund for equine projects, the state and European funds will also be called upon. The campus is due to be opened in September 2023.
At our Saint-Contest site, the shared equine research biotechnology platform brings together a number of organisations including LABÉO, RESPE, Biotargen in addition to start-ups (Equiways, Equibiogenes, AIC…).
The project is aimed at building several tertiary spaces including offices, meeting rooms and an auditorium. This is supplemented by laboratories for Research activities but also for business activities in the shape of start-ups.
