EQUIWAYS
Founded in 2017 by Camille Vercken, a farming techniques engineer, Equiways has developed a comprehensive biosecurity audit aimed at the equine sector.
This tool, which is based on practical recommendations, assists stud farms, veterinarian clinics, reproduction centres, competition centres and sales centres in Europe and the United States. Established at Normandy Equin Valley’s innovation platform in Saint-Contest, it provides assistance with a variety of projects and has developed, alongside LABÉO, a range of innovative products connected to biosecurity (Isobox, Check-In) which are adapted to the requirements of professionals.
EQUIBIOGENES
Equibiogenes is a service business specialising in equine genetics. Established at Normandy Equin Valley’s innovation platform in Saint-Contest, two bodies constitute the heart of this company, both of them with the same DNA of excellence: Equibiogenes Génétique Équine and Equibiogenes Bloodstock.
Working closely with some of the best universities and laboratories in the world, Equibiogenes provides the latest innovations in equine genomics. SynchroGait was the first equine performance test released onto the French market by Equibiogenes. There are a range of tests on the market and Equibiogenes has sought to be highly selective in order to provide a range of reliable, widely recognised and useful tests for the day-to-day running of your operation.
CWD-VetLab
CWD-VetLab is the first shared laboratory that brings together a veterinary research unit (CIRALE-EnvA) and a company specialising in sports equipment for both horses and riders (CWD) supported by ANR (National Research Agency).
One unifying theme: connected equestrianism.
ANIMAL IMMUNE COMPANY
Animal Immune Company (AIC) is a Franco-German company under French law dedicated to animal welfare. Our company offers treatment for animals with certain chronic diseases such as asthma and arthritis to veterinarians and horse owners. Our treatment is based on the animal’s white blood cells, which we then use to produce autologous cytokines in our laboratory.
AIC obtained the technical know-how developed and implemented in human medicine by one of its associated companies (Ad Lentus) based in Germany.
PÔLE HIPPOLIA
Pôle Hippolia is the only “competitivity hub” dedicated to the equine sector with state certification. Its headquarters are in Normandy.
It has a range of missions but a single ambition: to establish the French equine sector as the world leader in innovation.
First LABÉO patent
With assistance from Normandie Valorisation, LABÉO along with CERMN has filed its first patent applying to the antibacterial effect of new molecules which are derivatives of guaiacol (ref: F073100004/WO/PCT).
Patent title:
A derivative of m-Guaiacol, their preparation and use as biocides,
notably as for antibacterial and disinfectant purposes.
